About the role
Reporting to the Operations manager, we are seeking a dynamic metal fabrication manager to lead all functions of the fabrication department to ensure all key production targets are met.
You will be a hands on "can do" team player, who will leave your mark in relation to the overall customer satisfaction, whilst meeting internal and external quality standards.
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead, develop and inspire the fabrication team across production quality and engineering.
Support all activities of the fabrication department to improve output, quality and performance ensuring all company procedures are followed.
Maintain, implement and monitor all continuous improvement initiative.
Plan all works to be completed in accordance with master schedule.
Promote a safe working environment and safe work practices for the well-being of all production staff.
Ensure staff are motivated, trained and contributing toward the ongoing volume and quality targets.
Key Requirements
Proven and demonstrated experience as a a supervisor within a fabrication OR general engineering manufacturing industry.
Trade qualification in welding and fabrication.
Excellent interpersonal skill and leadership capabilities.
Specific expertise in planning & scheduling.
Proven ability to plan and prioritise responsibilities.
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and succinctly to a variety of audiences from management to production teams.
