Logistics Manager

About the business:

With a strong brand and supportive team-orientated culture, this successful niche agribusiness produces a range of award-winning products, supplying customers via various channels. A subsidiary of an ASX-listed food Group, the business has a focus on all things local with a solid reputation for looking after customers. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking a dynamic and passionate logistic manager to join their leadership team.

About the role:

Reporting to the General Manager the role will oversee and manage the whole logistics operation including the B2B and B2C distribution network. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the logistic operation of B2B (business to business), and B2C (business to customer) distribution network ensuring all targets are met.

  • Lead, manage and inspire the site logistics team, setting clear expectations

  • Manage the organisations fleet of trucks, coordinating the activities required to keep the fleet well maintained and on the road.

  • Maintain the accuracy of records and cost-effective logistics process as well as inventory control.

  • Ongoing management of delivery routes ensuring drivers are safe and competent and routes are optimised and efficient.

  • Understand the needs of our customers and support the development of routines and strategies to respond to these. 

Key requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 + years’ experience in a similar role within food/beverage Manufacturing or food/ beverage distribution

  • Strong people management aptitude, with proven ability to manage diverse teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

  • Excellent communicator that can converse to all levels including peers, drivers and customers.

  • Fleet control/management experience.

  • A strong customer service skill set.

  • Experience within purchasing or procurement is highly desirable.
