Inventory Controller

A leader in their market segment our client is a well-known supplier of products into the retail and foodservice industry across Australia. With a purpose-built facility, they manufacture a mix of well know Australian brands. Due considerable growth across all areas, they are seeking a dynamic Inventory Controller to join their team.
About the role
Reporting to the Production and Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and overseeing inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, and delivering items in a fast moving environment
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods.
Receipting of packaging and raw ingredients raised against purchase orders created by finance purchasing department.
Communicate short falls of orders to finance/purchasing department
Coordinate regular inventory audits, maintain inventory accuracy, proving accurate end of month stock on hand reportsManage all cycle counts, stock rotations and managing stock loss and reporting where appropriate.
Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS) in conjunction with Procurement officer.
Keep updated inventory records (including daily shipments)
Key Requirements:
Minimum 2 - 3 years experience as an inventory controller/ coordinator within a FMCG environment
Tertiary qualifications in supply chain/warehouse/logistics preferred but not essential.
Strong knowledge in purchasing of materials for the food manufacturing industry
Competencies in Logistics i.e. Warehouse Management Systems, Material Handling, Transport
Demonstrated customer service and team work skills, including delegating
Knowledge of statutory regulations including HACCP, CoR and OH&S
