Quality Coordinator

A fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and passionate Quality Coordinator to join this growing organisation.

About the business:

With a strong brand and supportive team-oriented culture, this successful niche agribusiness produces a range of award-winning products, supplying customers via various channels. A subsidiary of an ASX-listed food Group, the business has a focus on all things local with a solid reputation for looking after customers. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking a dynamic and passionate Quality Coordinator to join their team.

About the role:

Reporting to the General Manager, the Quality Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of the QA department to ensure compliance with the quality system, food safety standards and external legislative regulations and to ensure that all aspects of quality are implemented and controlled in the production area.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensuring all aspects of quality implemented in the production and comply with national standards at both national and international level;

  • Conducting audits as per the site schedule, follow-up and closeout of issues raised;

  • QA checks, sampling and testing coordination ensuring compliance to specification and customer requirements;

  • Highlighting and/or escalating any quality issues to management;

  • Raising and managing internal/external corrective action reports;

  • Provide site leadership in HACCP/Food Safety.

Key requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in quality control within the dairy industry, with a strong understanding of Dairy Food Safety Victoria (DFSV) standards a MUST.

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Food Science or Micro-Biology.

  • Strong understanding of HCCP, GMP and food safety standards.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to work within a team environment

  • Committed with an excellent work ethic
