Are you considering a move to Queensland? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Production Manager to lead our clients key plant in Queensland. In this newly created role, your key focus will be to lead all functions of production to ensure all key production targets are met adhering to the company’s high quality and safety standards
About the role:
Reporting to senior management, this high calibre individual will be responsible for the overall control of production and scheduling outcomes. With total management of the production department, your focus will be on improving performance, productivity and efficiency, so as to ensure that all operations are both cost and time-effective whilst aligning with quality and safety requirements.
Responsibilities:
Lead, develop and inspire the operations team across production quality and engineering.
Support all activities of the production department to improve output, quality and performance ensuring all company procedures are followed.
Maintain, implement and monitor all continuous improvement initiatives
Plan all works to be completed in accordance with master schedule.
Promote a safe working environment and safe work practices for the well-being of all production staff.
Ensure staff are motivated, trained and contributing toward the ongoing volume and quality targets.
Ensure GMP requirements are met through maintenance of a high standard of personal hygiene and workplace cleanliness.
Key Requirements
Minimum 2+ years of proven experience as a production manager within the building construction manufacturing industry
Experience in the implementation of lean six-sigma / CI methodologies
Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership capabilities
Specific expertise in planning & scheduling, quality control, health & safety.
Proven ability to plan and prioritise responsibilities;
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and succinctly to a variety of audiences from Management to production teams, customers, and suppliers.
