Maintenance Manager
About the business
Located in the South East of Melbourne, this growing food manufacturer has been supplying products direct to industry for over 50 years. Due to the large number of projects, we are currently searching for a hands-on Maintenance Manager on a 12-month contract.
About the role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this “hands on” role will see you lead a maintenance team of fitters and electricians to ensure plant reliability is kept to an optimum level.
Responsibilities
Managing all aspects of the maintenance department including managing a multidisciplinary maintenance team
Provide the highest level of engineering and technical support to maintenance and production personnel
Plan and manage all capital improvement projects including renovations to site, buildings and equipment installations.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities and prepare capital requests to enhance overall performance of plant
The development and control of the site maintenance budget.
Develop KPIs and manage the maintenance team to achieve these key performance indicators
Skills and experience
Minimum tertiary or trade qualification electrical or mechanical discipline
Strong experience leading a maintenance engineering team in a FMCG manufacturing environment
Demonstrated experience in delivering capital improvement projects on time and on budget
Understanding of site services
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to deliver accurate outcomes within tight time frames
