Located in the south east of Melbourne, this growing food manufacturer has been supplying products direct to industry for over 50 years. Due to continued success and growth of the business, we have a fantastic opportunity for a result driven, energetic and dedicated individual to fill the position of Production Manager at one of their key sites.
About the role
Reporting to the General Manager of Operations, this “hands on” role will see you lead all aspects of the production department to ensure key targets are met adhering to the company’s high quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
Day to day management of the production process, monitoring production schedules to meet customer delivery targets.
Ensure the manufacturing facility operates at peak efficiency, allowing maximum sustainable profitability, whilst maintaining all quality and safety requirements.
Ensure the development, implementation and direction of best manufacturing practices for the manufacturing site.
Skills and experience
Formal tertiary qualifications, with a Minimum of 5 + years’ experience in similar role preferably in food, beverage or FMCG manufacturing environment.
Specific expertise in maintenance, quality, health and safety
Excellent interpersonal and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to deliver accurate outcomes within tight time frames.
