VP of Sales & Account Management Oceania
About the business:
As a one stop solutions provider our client offers an end to end solution from components and design to the implementation and operation of systems. Due to continued growth of the Australian business they are currently looking to recruit a talented VP of Sales & Account Management to oversee sales and sales support, as well as bid and proposal management across Australia and New Zealand.
About the role:
Reporting to the Executive VP and forming part of the senior leadership team your main areas of responsibility will be;
Create and continually refine business development and market growth strategies and execution plans to achieve the company’s growth goals in the targeted market.
Build lasting relationships with prospects and customers for repeat business.
Forecast revenues, plan and monitor presales budgets.
Identify and develop strategic relationships with partners or potential customers.
Develop business cases and set winning price based on market evaluation.
Frame and elaborate contracts and ensure commercial success of projects.
Continuously track and foster up and cross-selling opportunities.
Attend and represent at various business and industry meetings and trade shows.
Network within the industry to gain market knowledge and gain insight to new market trends and opportunities.
Communicate internal and external news in collaboration with Marketing.
Act as single point of contact for customer problems or complaints and product warranty cases.
Manage cross-functional bid teams and inputs from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from Sales, Solution Management, Finance, Legal, Risk
Management, Delivery and Operations
Skills and experience
10+ years’ experience in sales / key account management, with a minimum 5 years leading teams; preferably cross-functional and multi-geographic teams;
Tertiary qualification in Business highly desirable;
Demonstrated achievement in a sales environment with a history of success in sales teams leadership and key account management
Proven ability to establish and maintain strong influential relationships
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to customers and key business stakeholders;
Demonstrated focus on meeting client requirements and changing processes and work priorities to ensure a high level of client satisfaction;
Proven influencing and negotiation skills, with a strong track record of success with winning contracts;
Demonstration of exemplary organisational and time management skills;
Co-operative, displays a positive ‘can do’ attitude;
Ability to work collaboratively with other staff as well as independently;
