About the business:
e.motion21 is a for purpose organisation, with the vision to enhance lives and change perceptions of Down syndrome within society through dance, fitness, education and employment programs.
They believe in an inclusive future where people with Down syndrome and intellectual disability are flourishing and are active contributors to society economically, socially and creatively. They do this through Moving Bodies, Moving Boundaries and Moving Minds.
Now in its 13th year of operation the organisation is embarking an exciting 3-year strategic plan providing a solid roadmap for growth over the next 3-4 years. To implement this plan, we are currently seeking a dynamic and strategic Group General Manager to ensure the organisation is equipped for the years ahead.
About the role:
Reporting to the e.motion21 board the Group General Manager will provide leadership, vision and strategic direction to the organization in pursuit of the organization’s objectives. You will have fiduciary and commercial duties/responsibilities and assist with securing its sustainable future whilst ensuring the founding organisations DNA remains intact.
Key responsibilities:
Lead the e.21 and I21 organisation including all fiduciary responsibilities and policies as a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission.
Responsible for the Strategic and Organisational development of the organisation ensuring all sustainable, financial, participant, pipeline, growth, is achieved and will be measured by agreed board KPI’s.
Overall responsibility for optimal performance of E.21 & I21, measured by Participant outcomes
Responsible for external events aligned to values and quality standards
Lead Continual Improvement and innovations through business development, policy development, human resources, operations, and project management
Identify, develop, and implement strategies to diversify the organisation’s revenue base, including engaging and partnering with government, philanthropic, business, research, consultants, subcontractors, and industry stakeholders
Effectively lead, supervise, manage, and mentor direct reports and foster a culture of learning and continual Improvement
Key requirements:
3 + years’ experience in a Senior Management, CEO/ Group GM or similar position within the non-for-profit sector with health/ disability exposure highly regarded.
Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse team and build a collaboratively, engaged culture.
University degree or Diploma in business management or related field.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage, consult and influence a diverse range of stakeholders, with a high level of professionalism.
Experience in the management and/or governance of an organisation in particular the fiduciary duties required.
Experience and knowledge of NDIS and DHHS accreditation processes highly desirable
