A leader in their market segment, our client is a well-known supplier of high-quality confectionery brands across Australia. Now entering an exciting phase of growth, a newly created role has arisen for an ambitious Production Planner to join their team.
About the role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be required to produce and maintain a master schedule which represents what the plant plans to produce over a specified period of time as well as bringing continuity to the purchasing and production planning process to meet forecasted customer demands;
Produce and maintain a master schedule to meet production targets, ensuring material and resources are available to support the schedule.
Lead and drive process and organisational performance in relation to production/supply planning.
Procurement of raw materials and packaging to support production schedules.
Set and regularly review safety stocks and safety capacities and ensure safety stocks and safety capacities are integrated across the supply chain.
Lead the weekly production planning communications meeting.
Initiates and leads problem-solving activities into complex and novel supply problems, issues, and challenges, and involve all appropriate people in issue resolution.
Skills and experience
Minimum of 3 + years demonstrated experience in production planning and scheduling in the food/ beverage of FMCG manufacturing industries.
Proactive, deadline-driven with a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Ability to solve problems in a time-pressured environment and reorganise work plans to manage conflicting priorities.
Able to write, implement, and maintain policies and procedures.
Excellent communication and influencing skills.
