A leader in their market segment our client is a well know supplier of products into the retail and foodservice industry across Australia. Their business is going through transformational change and is keen to further invest in new product innovation across multiple channels.
About the role
Reporting to the Quality and Technical Manager, the NPD Technologist will be required to assist in the development of new products as well as provide technical support in the ongoing manufacture of the current portfolio of products.
Responsibilities:
Product development and project lead for new product innovation including factory trials, customer and supplier liaison.
Review of existing product portfolios – identifying formulation and process improvement opportunities.
Manage and execute tasks in product development projects such as formulations development and product samples.
Liaising with key stakeholders across the business to facilitate the implementation of new products and processes
Skills and experience
Territory qualified in Food Science/Technology or equivalent with a minimum of 3 + years’ experience in product development with juices and sauces highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to work across multiple projects as a cross-functional team member
Knowledge of food processing technology developments.
Formulation development expertise
Ability to develop and present reports and presentations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
