A leader in their market segment, our client is a well-known supplier and exporter of high-quality confectionery brands. Due to the high volume of demands, they are looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor to join their team in this newly created role.
About the role
Reporting to the Production Manager, this high-calibre individual will lead and oversee the organisation’s packaging department.
Key Responsibilities:
Day-to-day management of production staff ensuring the production of premium quality products
Manage line efficiencies, key performance indicators and downtime.
Monitors the production process, makes periodic checks and adjusts equipment or work practices according to standard operating procedures.
Manage overall package and product quality to ensure all standards and specifications.
Ensure the development, implementation, and direction of best manufacturing practices
Lead continuous improvement initiates and drives efficiencies across the process.
Skills and Experience:
Formal tertiary qualifications, with a minimum of 2 + years’ experience in a similar role in the food manufacturing environment.
Profound experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
Demonstrated ability to develop and nurture a team-first culture
Specific expertise in maintenance, quality, health and safety in a food manufacturing environment.
Knowledge and experience in managing HACCP and GMP standards
