About the role:
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for preventative maintenance, breakdown response, line setting, project work and maintaining the company CMMS.
Key responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair equipment in conjunction with a Preventative Maintenance Program
Attend to urgent machinery breakdowns and ensure the repair is carried out to reduce production loss
Recommend systems that maximize the efficiency of and minimize costs of utilities
Recommend initiatives that enhance productivity, efficiency and profitability of the plant
Keep abreast of technological developments in the industry and recommend implementation as necessary
Key requirements
Minimum of 5 years’ experience post trade-in production manufacturing maintenance with prior experience in Glass and or PET Bottling, capping and labelling highly desirable.
Experience milling and turning stainless steel
Welding and fabrication experience with stainless steel
A positive outlook and good attitude
Safety conscious and good housekeeping skills
Willingness to educate and tutor in an encouraging and respectful manner
Be a vital team player but also be confident to work autonomously
Be eager and willing to learn processes and assist other departments when requested
Have the willingness to speak up and discuss ideas and concerns
