About the company:
Entering an exciting period of expansion, our client has been supplying products to the retail and food service industries for over 50 years. With exception sales growth in the last 12 months, they have a fantastic opportunity for a result-driven, energetic, and dedicated individual to fill the position of Production Manager to ensure the site keeps up with this surge in demand.
About the role:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this “hands-on” role will see you lead all aspects of a four-shift operation to ensure key targets are met adhering to the company’s high quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
Day to day management of the production process, monitoring production schedules to meet customer delivery targets.
Ensure the manufacturing facility operates at peak efficiency, allowing maximum sustainable profitability, whilst maintaining all quality and safety requirements.
Ensure the development, implementation and direction of best manufacturing practices for the manufacturing site.
Key requirements:
Formal tertiary qualifications (preferably in engineering) with a Minimum of 10 + years’ experience in a similar role within a food manufacturing organisation.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to develop and mentor direct and indirect reports.
Customer focused and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience managing a 24/7 operation.
Resilient and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
Demonstrated exposure in the Implementation of lean manufacturing principles (structured problem solving, continuous improvement mindset, unlocking capacity, SMED, etc)
