Group Finance Manager
About the business:
Our client is a leading Melbourne-based hospitality company that develops, owns and operates iconic food and beverage venues. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a savvy, experienced and driven Finance Manager to join their team.
About the role:
Reporting to the General Manager, the Finance Manager is responsible for the company’s day to day financial function and oversee the end-to-end financial accounting and statutory reporting activities of the business, as well as supporting risk management and compliance.
Key responsibilities:
Driving the Financial Reporting, weekly reporting, external reporting, and month-end close for the business
Statutory reporting, year-end financials and audit requirements are met and delivered to regulatory authorities.
Ensuring the preparation of financial statements and coordinating accounts payable
Overseeing the budgeting, forecasting and management reporting
The identification and management of all forms of financial & business risk and ensuring compliance.
Taking ownership of cash flow management in addition to trend analysis
Contributing to diverse finance projects to ensure process improvements
Building and managing senior stakeholder relationships within the business
Key requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field mandatory (CPA/ CFA preferred)
Solid experience in Finance Control or Accounting or Finance within Hospitality industry
Significant experience in administrative finance and accounting
Experience working with common finance and accounting systems and competent in advanced Microsoft excel and Xero system
Demonstrated passion for Finance with extensive experience with month-end close
Ability to adopt a systemized approach and enjoy reviewing and improving processes
Strong communication, relationship management and senior stakeholder engagement skills
