Inclusion Foundation is a for-purpose organisation, with the vision to enhance lives and change perceptions of Down syndrome within society through dance, fitness, education and employment programs.
They believe in an inclusive future where people with Down syndrome and intellectual disability are flourishing and are active contributors to society economically, socially and creatively. They do this through Moving Bodies, Moving Boundaries and Moving Minds.
Now in its 13th year of operation, the organisation is embarking on an exciting 3-year strategic plan providing a solid roadmap for growth over the next 3-4 years. To implement this plan, we are currently seeking a dynamic and passionate Group Manager for Impact 21 – their subsidiary.
Impact21 is a pioneering education to employment work readiness initiative that is specially designed for people living with Down syndrome and intellectual disabilities.
About the role:
The Impact21 Group Manager leads the Impact21 team, champions the Program with major external organisations and implements strategies for and manages the smooth running of the Program from all perspectives.
Key responsibilities:
Lead the Impact21 Program delivery team (a team of approx. 4 direct reports, plus allied health professionals and skilled volunteers)
Lead all external stakeholder engagement (eg. With families/carers, national employers, research and academic institutions, funding partners and representatives from the media)
Implement a risk and project governance framework to support and steer the Program (operating on a monthly reporting cycle)
Engage in funding applications and matters associated with fundraising, budgeting and reporting
Key requirements:
Prior experience in the implementation and management of education or employment work readiness initiative that is specially designed for people living with disabilities.
Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as human resources, community engagement, communications, project management, social impact or entrepreneurship
Demonstrated engagement with people with intellectual disability and belief in their inclusion in open employment
Entrepreneurial, innovation mind-set, with a high degree of energy and drive
Experience working in an agile, fast-moving, collaborative solutions-oriented environment
Highly developed relationship-building capabilities and ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders
Excellent oral communications and report writing skills
A ‘can do’ approach and positive attitude
