About the business

As a one- stop solutions provider our client offers an end to end control solution for its clients from components and design to the implementation and operation of systems. Due to continued growth of the Australian business they are currently looking to recruit an expert in BID and Tenders to provide support the growing sales team.

About the role:

As a bid manager, you will manage the administrative and ancillary demands related to bids, leading and assisting the bidding team in the development of bid proposals, preparation of legal documents, management of bidding projects on a basis of procurement laws.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of proposal preparation including cross functional bid teams and inputs from various stake holders.

  • Review customer requirements and ensure the proposals are submitted in a timely manner and meet the commercial aspects of the bid including services and costs.

  • Management of all bid requests and proposal responses, tracking all requests and changes on the company’s database.

  • Assist with bid pricing ensuring cost efficient bid preparation and cost reduction.
    Identify tender and lead the participation in tender procedures.

  • Management of the entire approved bid budget and track changes or issues ensuring the issues are managed and addressed to the stakeholders.

  • Support in Business Development and Proposals for the sales team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with proven bid and tender management experience within controls engineering, electrical infrastructure, construction or technology systems industries

  • Basic legal, technical and business management skills;

  • Highly effective project and time management skills;

  • Exceptional commercially-focused writing and editing skills;

  • Able to engage with diverse stakeholders;

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
