Business Development Manager Oceania

About the business:
As a one- stop solutions provider our client offers an end to end solution for Intelligent Transport Systems from components and design to the implementation and operation. Due to continued growth of the Australian business they are currently looking for an exceptional Business Development Manager to reinforce commercial relationships, identify and develop new sales projects and grow sales revenue within Australia and New Zealand.

About the role:
Reporting to the VP Sales APAC, your man duties and responsibilities will be to:

  • Solution Selling - identifying and developing opportunities and securing commercial targets in the region in collaboration with the Sales & Solution Consulting team, for the Australian and New Zealand market (Oceania).

  • Prospecting and business development through forming new relationships in the region, especially to decision makers to drive new leads for qualifying;

  • Preserving existing customers and relationships to expand further portfolio verticals within and to win cross selling opportunities;

  • Evaluating the commercial feasibility of proposed customer solutions and project execution plans;

  • Clarifying of technical feasibility with resource delivery and responsible business units;

  • Consistently responsive and diligent follow-up of sales leads and ongoing opportunities;

  • Achieving revenue targets, maintaining and executing a regular sales call plan;

  • Regular and accurate reporting of sales activities and sales forecasts;

  • Regular monitoring of key account satisfaction through survey and other means, and improvement methods implemented where required;

Skills and experience:

  • 10 + years of business development experience working within technology solutions selling environment in the Australian and New Zealand markets

  • Experience in developing commercial offers in the AUD$ 1- 2m range

  • Familiarity with legal agreements and developing commercial and technical risk mitigations

  • Proven ability to use Salesforce and MS Office Suite products

  • Strong spreadsheet skills, mathematics skills, and PowerPoint presentation skills

  • Familiarity with major road/rail infrastructure projects or other complex multimillion-dollar projects

  • Familiarity with real-time control systems such as PLC, SCADA, and traffic control an advantage
